Nas turned down that Coors Light bullshyt specifically because he didn’t want to promote beer drinking to kids. It wasn’t about him not drinking alcohol, it was the message. :ahh:

Early 90s, rappers were promoting malt liquor like Old English and St. Isle's. Little kids be drinking that shyt up because they see all the adults drinking it and rappers drinking it.
Hennessy is different at least. They dont directly market themselves towards black community and it's not as cheap as malt liquor.

Except I never said beer ads were targeting children. Kids drink beer because of the adults around them let them drink it and they see their favorite rapper endorse malt liquor on tv. That's enough negative influence.
