I don't think it helped but I don't think the Palestinian conflict moved the needle like people on the internet wish it did.

I think, unfortunately, people don't want a woman president nor a black one.

I definitely believe crash out countries benefit from MAGA and are happy to adjust their diplomacy accoridngly.
I actually think it is the main reason there were so many non-voters. people who didn’t want a woman voted against Kamala.

LBJ could have been in the top five presidents but escalating the Vietnam War ruined his legacy.

It’s crazy how one president can have such clear vision on how to make the world a better place despite his personal bigotry, but such an enormous destructive blind spot on human suffering on the other hand.

Also weird because JFK/McNamara knew they couldn’t win a ground war in Vietnam.

The French experience in Indochina and US failure to defeat the Chinese/North Koreans in Korea made Kennedy hesitate on escalation.
