whats amazing about Malone was that he BARELY missed any games until his last season... he played 80 games for so many years..

Yes he was. He could take it to the rack like Lebron, but he had more MASS
And his jumper was basically what Haslem does in Mia, except this nikka Malone would shoot it way more often and was way more accurate.

Basically think Dirk Nowitski's game. He just didn't shoot 3's
But his jumper was as wet as Dirk during his Championship run
And this was for years and years. Nobody ran that pick n roll like them, EVER
No bullshyt, when I seen ANY pick n roll these days. Its like :rudy: cuz its never as smooth as those two were

Look at it this way, those two made it to the finals on that shyt. Think about that for a few seconds :ohhh:

THIS.

Karl after Kobe is my fav player. Dude played like a man on court, backed down go to no one and stayed dunking on dudes on a fast break, dude was fast a hell for a big man. You Tube him and enjoy.

No, his offensive game was vastly over-rated. He was a compiler, the only reason he has so many points is cause of the number of seasons that he played, especially in Utah, which had a wide open D'Antoni style offense. The gimmick offense he played in with Stockton really inflated his numbers. A great scorer should average 30 points more than once in his career to be considered great.

He was a original member of the motherfukkin DREAM TEAM

FOH with this dumb shyt.

when i think of Malone i think of straight picknroll. i didnt know you could throw it to him on the block and let him go to work.
plus when people mention great scores rarely do i hear his name pop up :manny:

Him and Rodman battlin down low during the finals:whew:

Dude had Greg Ostertag, Shandon Anderson, Howard Eisley, Jeff Horacek (this my boy, though), Antoine Carr, Adam Keefe, Byron Russel and still made it to the finals, twice

I give stock and Jeff Horacek (this my boy, though) a pass

forgive me for being young but I only remember him for the pick n roll (same reason Stock got a lot of assist) so i think of stock creating most of his shots leading to his 35,000 plus points. Was dude's scoring game great like that?

People like to downplay Malone, but heres my thing:

You watch a Karl Malone highlight reel and 90% of it is groundhog day. Same play, pick n roll. But you can't discredit it b/c if it was that easy, then everyone would have been successful at it. Duncan and Parker have used it successfully too, but Duncan will never be the scorer Malone was. People say Kobe just copied Jordan, well if it was THAT easy, then everyone would copy Jordan and be just as good, right? Other people like to discredit Kareem b/c he basically used 1 shot.

At the end of the day, this is the NBA.....you're not gonna get to a being an all-time NBA great by being nothing more than a system player or a 1 trick pony.

So yes, he was a great scorer...he just wasn't a dynamic scorer like a Jordan or Kobe
