What CBs really get talked about that much outside of Deion and maybe Rod Woodson? Plus he played in the same era as those HOFers so it's easy to overlook him. Deion and Rod scored a whole bunch of TDs, both on defense and ST and they both won rings and they both played for a long ass time. Hard to shine through all of that luster.

Plus you got Darryl Green too.

If he had a ring or two maybe he'd get more love.

nah...darrell got em...man to man

eric had to jam when he was man to man against alot of the fast n physical players...n once he is beat....he had decent speed..but he aint catchin nobody behind

i rememeber he played man vs kevin williams against dallas...kevin had shakes out the ass goin back to miami.n he was fast...eric jammed em at the line missed ..kevin shooked em..beat em by 5..this is when eric was with the saints..got burnt...on a slant...had kevin caught it..woulda been to the house

eric can play zone all damn day...

nobody was out runnin darrell man to man but u can beat darrell in zone all day

they both had their flaws...both had great hands n vision n could hit..darrell was a betta man to man...eric was a better zone...

No he wasn't. Darrell used to get beat MUCH more often than Eric Allen, who had a shorter career and ended up with more picks.

I saw both of their entire careers. Eric was a better cover guy. Darrells speed was more legendary than his actual cover skills.
