I was watching the segment with Trish and Jeff Hardy..and i was thinking of creating a thread but why not ask it here?
Do u think heel Trish with Hollywood Rocky would of been a good add on? She turned heel less than a year later at WM XX but they always had great chemistry..if things were tweaked historically and she helped him him fukk over Hogan at NWO 03 and was his valet against Austin and Goldberg, would it have felt RIGHT? The Rock was way too big for managers but since he went heel and changed everything(his hair, another tat, reluctance), could she had been a good piece to his change up?

I think the rub from Rocky could of given her massive crossover appeal. they did always have great chemistry.

i agree with the rocks personality being too big for manager, and i dont know if something like toronto or sacramento would of had the same impact with her doing most of the talking.

in summation, it could of done any more for him because of how massive he was, but she coulda talked along for the ride and eaten.

Hollywood Rock was epic but Corporate Rock is the GOAT. That version of Rock was Austin's rival for a reason. He was neck and neck with Austin in terms of star power.

The GOAT period in Rock's career was the mid '99-2000 baby face rock. Constant roastings but still cool and more laid back, wearing Versace shirts and shyt. When he returned in 2000 his promos started to sound like he drank too much caffeine.

Heel Rock were more entertaining IMO those promos :whew:

that wasn't even fair.

was always a huge fan of rock but in retrospect i think creative gave him too much freedom in his promos. it's one thing to put your opponent on blast but it's another thing to just completely no sell their gimmick and make light of their entire persona. he did it to undertaker, big show... and in this case hogan. just completely undressed them and made it impossible for anyone to take them seriously.

hogan looked like a deer in the headlights and had absolutely no idea how to come back at him.
Dont think it was all that big of a deal. They all turned out fine in the end. Plus, there was not going to be any type of rebuttal that Hogan could have used on Rock.

It just added on to the fact that Hollywood Rock was annoying (which was the point) to some fans and fans couldn't wait till he got shut up.

They may have also gave him more freedom because he earned that right and was nearing the end of the road for his first run in the WWE.

the low end. southside chi
I said it before, but if the Rock has one more run in him he definitely needs to bring back the Hollywood persona now that he has the box office credits to go with it. But he's too 'social media' friendly to turn heel these days.

But to this day, my favorite Rock persona is Corporate Rock. The music, the shirts, the shyt talking, having prime Cokeboy and Young Simba in his corner.... It was the complete package :wow:

not true at all

hollywood rock was :blessed:
shyt used to crack me up when crowd would start cheering the rock. then the rock would shyt on the crowd
rock is even more over now that he'd never get booed

you must be talking about the promo where rock is like "in one corner you have the man, the icon, the man who made professional wrestling what it is today and in the other corner you have..hulk hogan"

Corporate Rock is my personal pick for GOAT, although objectively speaking, 2000 Rock might have been the best.

My vote still goes to the Corporate Champion, solely because he had :demonic: shyt in him when the chips were down.

The chair shots to Foley :merchant:

Throwing Stone Cold Steve Austin off a bridge :damn:

Having a funeral for Austin the next week :russ:
