The 80s were better as a kid. OG Transformers, Voltron, Big Wheels, Nickolodeon, TMNT, Thundercats, Ghostbusters, Mike Tysons Punch Out etc

Now being a teen in the 90s :ohlawd:...i remember that whole decade year by year from 90-99...got to experience the whole Def comedy Jam/Martin Naughty by Nature, Queens-bridge, Bad Boy and Wu Tang era

If you were in the NYC area you were blessed with the greatest radio show of all time. The Stretch Armstrong Show :wow:

You're obviously biased because you grew up in the 90s. The 2000s were good to me. The kids growing up now will say their era was good too.

For every tic there's a tac brehs. This whole romancing the 90s and 80s seems like a rose tinted love affair, rather than the grim reality of:

  • Poverty being in full effect
  • Technology being primative
  • Most of the movies aged like dog shyt
  • Music itself back then had some trash too
Trust I used to be 90s>>>>type of shyt until I start to realize the issues during that time on a social level that folks never want to address. Plus social media wasn't such a big deal during that time hence why it seems like people weren't on some :mjpls:shyt, in reality it was running wild, just swept under the rug. If anything folks should be nostalgic of the 2000s since it seemed like the end of an era altogether:

  • Music peaked on all ends of the game
  • Clothing was up to par and not geared by agenda
  • Movies were actually more thought provoking compared to the 90s
  • Social consciousness was in a rawer form than nowadays
  • The last time folks chilled on the block:sadbron:
  • The last time women actually took care of themself:sadbron:
  • The last time wrestling was legit:sadbron:
  • The last time media in general was worth something than just being a corporate mess of events:aicmon:

Golden era in human history. I was born in 89. All the technology and entertainment advances I’ve lived here thru:blessed:

I had a Walkman in the 3rd grade and didn’t get a computer in my house until 5th and it had a floppy drive, two years later CDRW, 9th grade first portable CD player , 11th mp3. That’s an 8 year span. Can’t think of anything that I use now that was far fetched 8 years ago besides maybe my phone

Was gaming really better in the 90s?:patrice:
Theres a reason why people want to play Super NES/Classic sonic games/Tetris/N64 games today than most of the games made from the past 5 years.
