I feel like it's different Batman/Waynes for different purposes.

If you put Keaton in Nolan's Batman films or Bale in Burton's Batman films it would be terrible. But they fit each directors' take perfectly.

Keaton plays it as eccentric, enigmatic and an oddball with this kinda weird charisma. It fits Burton's grimey gothic fantasy world.

Bale is much more brooding, serious and as Wayne seems to play it purposely awkward. Like he's not supposed to be this swagged out playboy. Which again fits Nolan's more sober, grounded reality-based take on Batman.

It comes down to who's version of the Batman films you prefer. Personally, I prefer Burton's. So I go with Keaton (but a big part of that is how important Burton's first Batman film was for me as a kid and the fact Keaton is one of my favorite actors.)

He's the best and most realist Bruce Wayne for sure. He played the snobby rich old money socialite to a tee.

as for his batman, I'm glad they didn't give him that much personality. bats are not charismatic and a superhero based off it shouldn't be cartoonish

edit: I guess every one said what I said
