So a NFL GM's "opinion" on a situation is that thorough and detailed along the same lines?
The NFL GM words on the game deserve much more attention that a fukking comment section.
You're really basing opinion off the lowest form of writing possible, from people who you have no idea of their experience in the field.
I know idiocy exists on comment sections, that's why I spend ZERO of my time reading them. It's not worth my time or effort.

Dog....a GM can be as wrong as anyone else. You seem to notice it when the JEts drafted Sanchez, but now you're taking their word as gods.
If you know idiocy exists on comment sections, then you would know what they're commenting on which they agree with is just as idiotic. But you rather parse that down to it being "one article" and refuse to acknowledge that article reflecting the mindset of those idiots in the comments section...and there are many of those articles...and many of those shock jocks.

BINGO! This right here is the point that everyone here is missing.
A QB, or any player, being drafted number 1 or with any first round pick means that you are the best player available to address the need that your team has.
alot of the teams picking that high need a QB so they draft the best one. Doesn't mean you're destined for greatness.
But they're not, because comment section creatures don't get paid six figures to talk sports and get the chance to spread their thoughts to millions on a weekly basis.
I only see one sports-writer with Cam = VY deal, to me that's the minority.
And it's not that GM's can't be wrong, but their opinion has more resonance than your comment section guys.
I avoid comment sections because it really is the dregs of society, it is the most anonymous form of internet posting.
I come on here because I actually can respect the opinion of the a lot of the posters here, you being one of them. I can read your posts and actually see the history of your posting and ideas and determine if it's garbage or not.
Them comment sections are just quick responses to random shyt from random people, usually filled with hatred and ignorance.

IMO, keep your cool. When I look at you, I should believe that you have a grasp of the situation and there's still a chance.

Football is a simple game man. The QB needs time to throw, make reads whatever. Every QB sucks under pressure. That's the object of the game.
Tom Brady beats up on a lot of bad defenses who can't get to him just like any QB would do. The New England defense was far superior to their offense in those super bowls everybody brings him, Tom Brady was Alex smith status for a lot of those games.
Peyton Manning is a genius, but he folds under pressure everytime, and not even physical pressure. Dude is literally shook of the Patriots. Dude cost his team the Super Bowl with the INT, dude was garbage in the playoffs is whole career. He's a great QB, but so are a lot of other players who never had the chance to be coached by genius like Dungy.
What I'm trying to say is those guys are talented and deserve their credit, but their teams and organizations enable them to succeed.
Mark Sanchez, fukking terrible, if he was black he WOULD BE OUT THE LEAGUE. Certainly not starting.
RG3 is succeeding because he is good, but he will struggle against good teams until he has a good team himself to command. That's all I'm saying.

That’s true. We all know the draft is an inexact science. These GMs spend mad hours with the scouting depts. to identify players who can have the potential to be great. Teams go into the 1st rd of the draft thinking the player they pick will be a star.
While this is true, weren't ya'll talking about Bill Polian? He's one of the GOAT gms in the history of the game.

Not ALL the time but I see what you're saying cause case in point, nobody expected Tyson Alualu to come in and be a pro bowler for the Jags. Same with Gabbert BUT we didn't expect to be getting THIS from both of them
