This is a new precedent. I have NEVER seen the 1st overall pick at QB have their win/loss record used against them.


It made me take a look at past first selection picks at QB and their record.


1st pick in draft QB- Drew Bledsoe. Won 5 games as a rookie starter

1st pick in draft QB- Troy Aikman. Won 0 games as a rookie starter

1st pick in draft QB- Jeff George. Won 5 games as a rookie starter

1st pick in draft QB- Vinny Testerverde. Won 3 games as a rookie starter
