you probably upload content without knowing it with them torrents lol

just grab a VPN from NORDVPN ..

ya when I wasn’t using a VPN and I got a little knowledgeable, I limited the uploading speed to 0 kB/s but some cats use torrents and leave that shyt wide open...I was so ignorant to this shyt back in the day...probably in the late 90s/early 00s I downloaded the first 3 seasons of OZ using torrents on a DSL modem...I left my computer on all week no download/upload restrictions :mjlol: surprisingly nothing happened tho

what country you live in?
seriously, move out.
you have a dictator in your government.
most countries dont give a damn about what you download or upload.

:francis:I remember when I got knocked for torrenting episodes of Treme. They cut off the internet and I was like :dwillhuh:"Wait wut". Called them and they put me on hold for another assistant. Dude picked up like "Did you downloaded Treme episodes 3 through " I was like :sadbron: "Am I going in the jail? Dude was like "nah but if you keep downloading you may end up getting your service cut off"

:huhldup:Ever since then, I haven't download a single torrent. In the age of streaming sites, jail broken Fire Sticks, and etc...why put yourself on that stone age tip:picard:

It has been many years since I got one of these.
Do they actually do anything if I don't stop?
They aren't gonna cut off my service because they
want my money so should I just keep doing it?
It means somebody logged your IP off a torrent and contacted your ISP doesn't it?

With the advent of streaming I stopped torrenting stuff because it's easier to just stay legal.

this happened to me too back when comcast first started offering high speed internet around 03-04

i called and cursed they ass out and got a bill credit for my shyt being off for a day :youngsabo:

Ive probably gotten 1000 of those emails since but noting has happened

they truly dont care,i think they just send those emails out to please the movie studios/tv networks and make it look like theyre trying to stop it

theyre not gonna lose a customer because youre pirating some shyt they dont own

I just use it for music, no VPN tho. Do they only contact you if you're uploading?

Long time ago, I actually had to call the cable company to have them reactivate my cable.

Only times I ever got popped with a torrent letter was after leaving a finished dL up to seed. As mentioned seedbox or vpn is your friend but I use neither and still torrent cuz I ain’t paying for Dis+ when the Mandalorian is the only thing I want to see off that service. Just delete upon complete breh breh.

Use to get those emails occasionally. It was always the big budget movies too. They never did anything though. I'm off that wave now though. It gotta be really, really hard for me to find for me to double back and do a U-turn looking for torrents.
