Yes. A grizzly or grizzlies killed him and his woman. They found dude's arm in the stomach of one of the grizzlies. The arm still had the watch on it. Dude literally did not know what time it was hanging around grizzlies, even though he had a watch on.

Just read the story of Timothy Treadwell, it kinda fukked me up reading the transcript of the audio of him and his girl dying. Word is he got attacked due to salmon shortage and he was camping in October which falls in the season where bears hunt aggressively for food to store fat for hibernation

I was going to ask.. like what the he’ll do you do if you see one in the wild. I’ve been camping numerous times as a kid, thank god I never came across a bear cause I was naive, thinking I could outrun one.

but like what do you do in the wild? Play dead, I feel you’ll end up dead lol.

Depends on the type bear. If it's a grizzly play dead as they attack due to space violations. Hopefully after a few bites and clawing they leave.

If it's a black bear, fight for your life. When they attack it's for predatory reasons, so playing dead just makes their meal easier.

If it's a polar bear...well.......you're just food.

Against bears tuck your chin in your chest and ball into a tight ball. Interlock your fingers over your head because as stated, they go for the head.
