I like his style tho, his movies aren't big explosive blockbusters, they're more low key and id prefer that to something like Avengers.

There is nothing low key about the Justice League though. They assemble to face and defeat major threats to the planet. Unless you want Super powered heroes to battle street criminals, then their powers wouldn't even be properly showcased, which would be a waste of a movie. If you want to see their powers against a viable threat, then there's bound to be plenty of blockbuster effects.

There shouldn't be anything low key about a movie revolving around a team of ridiculously super powered heroes. There was nothing wrong with how Whedon handled Avengers, that shyt was great. And the way Ben shot the chase and shoot out scenes in the town gives me confidence that he'll be able to direct some quality action scenes. But I'll be highly disappointed if he takes a franchise like the the Justice League and turns it into the Good Shepherd.

Exactly. I see no problem with this. I'm more worried about Snyder with the MOS than I would be with Afleck directing a JL movie.

Yeah, Snyder is more of a style over substance type. Only movie I liked from him was the Dawn of The Dead remake.

I have more faith in Affleck for a JL film. I wish him the best of luck though, that movie is gonna be hard to sell.

My initial reaction was "Oh HELL nah!!" But like other people have said, he's actually a good director. But I thought I saw somewhere that they wanted him to star in it? That's a no-go.

Checking these out soon, i never knew Affleck directed a few (good) flicks. This may be a blessing in disguise if so.. :ehh:

Edit: In the process of acquiring these as we speak :scheme:

Those two are his only full length movies, he wrote and directed both and both were critically acclaimed.

I could only realistically picture him doing Green Lantern Hal Jordan. Even that'd be a bit iffy, but he probably could pull it off. He'd be an upgrade on Ryan Reynolds though, by default.

Actually just watched the Town toward for the second time before news leaked... Good flick. Gone Baby Gone is even better IMO, gotta get that on blu ray and rewatch.
