The Turks say they got the double on camera walking towards a shop to catch a meal. After said meal they got him receiving a package from an unidentified source and then going into the restroom to change into new street clothes. After they changing into his new clothes they say that they have him on camera laughing allegedly celebrating a job well done - he ain't goin to make the sequel. :picard:

The truth is, the Saudi's know they can lean on both their relationship with the US, under any admin, and the morbidly close one they have with the Trumo admin, therefore, any story need not be airtight, but simply enough for Trump to get behind in his typical fashion. They may have come up too short this time, but it's about power, the story never needed to be good. There just had to be a story.

"A spokesperson for the kingdom claims that the man is indeed Khashoggi. He waved aside the issue of the shoes by stating that the investigation revealed that Mr. Khashoggi, upon entering the consulate, removed his shoes as a sign of respect. Upon his exit, he mistakenly put on another pair of shoes. The spokesman also suggested it was possible that Mr. Khashoggi deliberately stole the unsuspecting man's shoes."
