No, we just have two rookie coordinators and rested guys all preseason. This isn't just the first real game, it's the first action they've seen at all. Should have played a few more series every game to get in rhythm.

Offense failed to get anything going consistently, but it really started upfront. RG Wes Schweitzer was awful today and the line as a whole failed to constantly create running room for Free or Coleman. Pass blocking was spotty at best and Matt was under pressure all game long. Grade: C
Defense made some plays with 4 sacks including the game winner. Brooks Reed with 2 sacks. Missed tackles throughout the game. Run defense must improve. Grade: B-
Coaching: DQ has talked all off season about how the team has moved on from the Super Bowl and we won't know that for certain any time soon, but the offense was out of sync under new OC Steve Sarkisian, the defense appeared to be wearing down before the game winning sack from Reed. Team must tighten up in all facets as the season continues. Grade: C

Gotta give props to the Bears front 7 honestly. They stopped the run early and continued to do so throughtout the game. Yeah it was a close game against the Bears but I don't remember us coming out the gate on fire anyways. Defense got womped by a player they clearly didn't gameplan for like I stated early. They even said they tried to hide him during preseason. No excuses though, gotta tighten up. Can't go back into conservative ass offense either. We didn't test Chicago's defense much downfield. On to Green Bay.
