WalMart has said they would hire less people if they had to pay hire wages, and as the leading employer of African Americans, that would(as usual) hurt our community the most.
I think we are sacrificing a lot to gain a little as a community, and the whole fukk rich people movement will end poorly for us at the bottom like every other liberal policy.

We truly have become our own worst enemies.

It is. I've lived on less, living on my own in the second most expensive city in the world (NYC).

Nope.

- Lived in shytty apartment in the projects (625 a month)

- Bought mostly rice, pasta, and eggs in large quantities to eat (about 200 a month)

- Made my own lunch instead of eating out. (the amount of money you waste eating out is stupid)

- Had a prepaid shytty phone (but it worked) (60 bucks a month)

If I was paid 25,000 a year I would have had a lot left over.

I don't have my tax returns but I'm pretty sure I make around 25k now (I'm on hourly, not salary). And yes, I'm doing fine. People need to stop buying shyt they don't need to impress their friends and everything will be OK. I'm making around that much now with a car and yet living below my means (I have money left over at the end of every month which I'm saving).

If you have kids it is all a different story. But if you do, the government steps in and helps a lot when you have low salary.

People need to quit whining and take control of their lives.

More than plenty. That is 2 racks a month. MOST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD LIVE ON $2 A DAY.

its reasonable for this work. im all for raising the walmart wage but even the workers are shooting for 25. because at the end of the day, it IS low skilled work

at the end of the day, WalMart is paying them an agreed upon wage for an agreed upon service. WalMart has no obligation to feed and house their families, merely to pay them their agreed wage and benefits.

If third parties find this wrong or unethical, they are just as free to do so, as WalMart is to pay min wage.
