They act like over $25,000/year is enough to live on.
its reasonable for this work. im all for raising the walmart wage but even the workers are shooting for 25. because at the end of the day, it IS low skilled work :yeshrug:

i mean nobody is worried about the pay for high level employees. the issue is the rank and file store worker, so including other salaries muddies the issue, breh...
Thats why they stated the annual number of promotions. They allow lots of mobility within the company :manny:

...and I dont think they have the luxury of only worrying about certain employees as you do.

All walmart did was present the facts, if people dont like them, then that is what it is... there really isnt any more to it than that...

what are you even trying to say? do you have some kind of corporate schill impulse? this post isnt even addressing the issue. there are not enough positions for mobility, never will be. and any comment that ends with "it is what it is" usually never needs to be said in the first place.

my point stands.

that would be what average means...

Averages can be deceiving. This is basic math.

If I have 4 people making $X and one person making $Y, where X <<Y, the average would not be sufficient in determining how well those 4 people are living from their given pay.

You know this so stop being obtuse.

WalMart has said they would hire less people if they had to pay hire wages, and as the leading employer of African Americans, that would(as usual) hurt our community the most.
I think we are sacrificing a lot to gain a little as a community, and the whole fukk rich people movement will end poorly for us at the bottom like every other liberal policy.

We truly have become our own worst enemies.
