One of the guys said buda!? which is sheng So i knew it was Kenya. And the only place they lining up for buses like that is in Nairobi in the evenings on those long routes.

The men in their society are so reserved in that clip. In america, 9 out of ten men would have swung on him immediately. Even most of the women just kinda chilled with him, with only a few darting away from him. :ohhh:

I'm not gonna lie. A similar thing happened to me the last time I traveled to Nairobi and I admit that I probably overreacted. But going to their society as an American, you tend to be very wary of pickpockets. I kept being told by locals that I was instantly identifiable as a foreigner even if I dressed like a local.

So, i was walking through nairobi's equivalent of Chicago's Golden Mile or Broadway in New York; and I was just chilling with a woman I had met earlier that day. And as we were walking, this guy walked up to me, getting really really friendly. He got all up in my personal space, as well as close to the woman I was with at the time.

I immediately went into fight or flight mode. Held him by the collar, yelled at him, and was about to swing on him . But the woman I was with hurriedly told me to chill as both her and the overly friendly dude gave me weird looks as if I was the one acting weird by reacting aggressively to some random dude getting in my personal space. I let go, dude was startled and a he ran off .

At the time i was incredibly certain i behaved appropriately, but years later i kinda look back at the incident as me doing too much. Still dont know. @Amestafuu (Emeritus) , @Robbie3000 ,@Swahili P'Bitek , and @Blackrogue i know this is yalls neighborhood. Was i overeacting to a dude getting in my personal space or was i on point here?:lupe:
The thief's are smooth you wouldn't see them coming like that. Got decoys and everything. I never seen an obvious pick pocket in Nairobi. I think we are just friendly people breh. Dudes will fight tho but not over simple shyt.
