They link up with black folks in the pen when it's time to but Norteno's don't exist in LA or Southern Cali. it was a skirmish. grew up with both 18 and geer before i moved to the valley. they ate together, things went south around the time i left. it was the rancho park click that got kicked out of the js that had an issue (bitter about getting bullied), but smiley dr click and them were fine since we all grew up together. i used to live on orange drive for 13 years. that beef been squashed and barely lasted. 18 be around nothing but crips like SYC, West Blvd, and never get into it. even when they beefed with geer they never went at either of those 2, and def not the 30s. proof it wasnt racial.

is the city divided, some what, with white folks esp. actually mostly with white folks. mexicans and blacks, esp in the south and west side of the city live side by side. altho more black people are leaving, as i did, we still have family and we still go back to the city. i was just in LA a little over a year ago, went to my favorite fish spot, mingled on the block for a bit. its true the city is getting gentrified, but we still have spots. i think more black people should focus on ingelwood, been sayin this for years. but everyones shook over the new stadium. my thing is, those homes are already black owned, why not just NOT sell them? but thats a different thread.
