im one of the few who prefers Da Game. I dunno why but I used to love that shyt as a kid. Probably cause I was caught up in the No Limit craze. That album cover :gladbron:

Da Game Is To Be Sold should've been trimmed down Matter of fact most Snoop albums after Doggystyle could've used some trimming. It also would've been better if the No Limit features were kept to a minimum or at least the bigger artists on a few songs. Featuring No Limit artists on almost every song just made it sound like a typical NL release and not a Snoop album.

For me, although Snoop on No Limit beats was a strange mix and didn't always work, TGITBS was just way more memorable (although I agree the No-Limit features were excessive). Like Doggfather had some good cuts but for the most part it was wait to laid back. The move to No Limit was smart cause wasn't nothing poppin on the westcoast at that time. I remember hearing Mack 10 talking bout he was tryna sign Snoop to Hoo Banging.

TGITBS had snoop sounding vibrant again and then he followed up with No Limit Top Dogg and reconnected with Dre, that shyt was classic far as im concerned.

"Da Game" suffers by not sounding like a Snoop Dogg album save for like five or six songs. Tha Doggfather just had the very bad luck of following up a classic. I was so glad how he went back to his actual sound on "No Limit Top Dogg."

Da game is a pretty terrible album. I remember buying it and being like :snoop:

Woof is the only stand-out track to me. Doggfather on the other hand is a cool album, disappointing? yes, but it isn't trash. Snoops upside ya head, gold rush, vapors, doggfather... all good tracks. I especially love gold rush, that beat is :wow:.
