Yeah, I hope this is more of something to garner some hype since she's not a big character. They would essentially short-change their first black hero character in this universe. "Ohh...it's new for us to make a minority super hero show, so we're going to give MINOR-ity screen time."

Y'all dudes always overlook the fact that Animation is MORE EXPENSIVE than shooting live-action. NO WAY would they being doing a half-hour an episode show as only a webseries.

I am not bothered by the length (it is an animated web series after all) but I do think they should have just dropped all of them joints at once instead of doling them out one at a time.

Not only is animation more expensive than live-action, it takes several months before episodes are finished being animated overseas.Looking at the dates and seeing that seasons 3 & 4 of Korra only aired a month apart. It's obvious all of those episodes were probably already finished being made by time Nickelodeon announced they were canceling the show.

I understand Bruce Timm and his people having those 5-7 min clips, they already have a good brand name and the characters aren't new, a lot of them are well-known.
Unless you remember that vixen was in the justice league cartoon, she's brand new to most people. Gotta introduce her like many other new shows, characters etc.
I mean, imagine if static stock were just 5 mins on some online shyt, it wouldn't have the impact it has today. And may not do much for the character either.

Yea, I saw the first episode. Unless you are familiar with her story, you wouldn't know that she's african.
In fact, she apparently is looking for her parents among other things. Didnt they die in Africa during her time there?

She's adopted in the cartoon though so it is pretty likely they are leading up to the reveal that she is from Africa since she's searching for her real parents.
