I don't see what's so "embarrassing" about handheld gaming, it can be a fun and enjoyable pastime when on the bus/train/plane etc. this isn't the thread to get into what adults should and shouldn't be enjoying with their own money and free time. This is a thread about the Vita's wasted potential and $ony dropping the ball yet AGAIN on a product that should be succeeding, it's like they learned absolutely NOTHING from the PSP. I owned a PSP and enjoyed it for years because it had quality GAMES, NOT because of propieratary bullshyt like UMD movies

$ony COMPLETELY dropped the ball on the Sony Ericsson X-Play smartphone. Could've been a worthy competitor to the Iphone and staked a major claim in the US phone market yet they released it and allowed to wallow in its own mediocrity. If they allow the Vita to follow suit, while releasing a MORE expensive ( yet "thinner") version of the PS3 then $ony has its head stuck up its ass far further than ANYONE could've predicted. Quite sad how the mighty have fallen...

they fukk up from the get go by not having the ps1 games on day 1 launch. sony just all around a really dumb company. they got lucky with the PS1 and PS2. the competiton they had was what, nintendo,. sony is now the blackberry of the videogames. failing to adapt.
So true. So fukking true. Sony still thinks that it is Christmas 2004 when the PS2 and its software was breaking records. People thought that the Vita is gonna take over the handheld market

Original PSP was trash and this one is too. If not for FIFA and demon/dark souls my PS3 would have been given away long ago. Like someone said its as if Sony doesn't care about gaming anymore.
