truthfully i've been wanting a Vita since launch but i just can't justify the purchase. many of the games i want are ports of games i already own so its like why bother? the release least looks anemic. its like this thing suffers from the PSP effect x 2 where outside of Sony internal developed games there aren't much there.

at least the PSP took off in Japan and had a stream of decent releases. i wanted the Vita to succeed but its looking more and more like it was an obsolete device upon arrival. people play portable games on smart phones and when they're on the go they don't typically want a console style experience on the go.

the whole dedicated handheld gaming device is really suffering as a result.

It's going to pick up. Just wait until the Tokyo Game Show. There will be some titles announced there. We'll likely get some form of Final Fantasy announced by then besides X.

If nothing happens by then, I will lose all hope for it.

Man I bet you same nikkas was shouting about how PS3 is dead back in 07 and now PS3 is the most critically acclaimed console of this generation with games that encompasses top quality blockbuster titles that reaches a new frontier of gaming that isn't possible on other media devices AKA dvdboxes.

Vita will be in the palm of gamers and non gamers alike in the next few years across the globe when major titles are released such as Sly 4, AC: LIberation, PASBR, and more great quality titles that are yet to be announced. Here at Sony, gamers are the utmost priority and us consumers are soon to receive a golden shower or better yet Persona 4: Golden. Please be patient.

where was all this talk when the 3DS was struggling. Its funny how that quick price drop made people forget that for the longest the only game worth buying for it was freaking Street Fighter 4. Then months later...another rerelease of Ocarina of Time. Then Nintendo's hand was forced and they had to drop the price. Damn, at least give the system a full year and its first holiday season.

If anything, it just shows that $250 for a handheld by its self wont work anymore. Hell, I bought my Vita(3G version), 4gb Memory Card, Uncharted:GA and Gravity Rush for less than $210. And instead of just straight up dropping the price, Sony is making bundles for it while keeping the price the same. For example, the White Vita that comes with a 4gb memory card and Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation. They cant drop the price but they are trying to give more value to the product.

A lot of good games are out and coming. Some people need to get out of there comfort zone on the titles that they play and try new franchises.

Games aren't good enough right now to justify a purchase. Its a brilliant piece of hardware though.
