Gonna be there from December 8-10. I land Friday night, I have Saturday free all day, then Sunday I'm going to the Saints game & leave right after, so my only free day is Saturday. What are some food spots y'all recommend? What's some stuff to do? I'm thinking about a swamp tour or a ghost tour for that Saturday but idk.

Also check out Muriel’s in Jackson square.. pretty high end restaurant to take the wife too but the food is phenomenal

I was told by locals to stay out of them qtrs cause of rats. So.only time I eat in quarters is when I'm hungry AF or running late to an event. It's convenient but I always had better food outside the qtrs

Breh I just need a breakfast spot, fried chicken spot, seafood spot, po boy spot & jambalaya/gumbo spot. A beignet spot would be appreciated too

Breakfast - Ruby Slipper, Antione's, Bearcat
Fried Chicken - Brothers, Manchu's
Seafood - GW Fins ($$$), Peche
Po Boy - Parkway Bakery & Tavern, Parasols
Gumbo/Jambalaya - Not gonna lie, I've had gumbo/jambalaya at random restaurants, but I couldn't point you directly to the "best" in the city. Most have been great tho. Usually I'm just cooking my own.

Highly recommend the swamp tours.
But make sure it’s on a air boat.
And not one of those slow ass bigger boats.

Willie Maes, Dookie Chase , spotted cat, random spots on magazine street etc
Only bad spot I had down there was Mothers
N.O got the craziest happy hours too. $5 for a whole bottle of wine they put in a plastic container so you can walk around outside

Mother's is decent..if you see a long line geaux some where else.

Voodoo fried chicken is dope too esp late drunk nights.
