Any of you ladies/gents use Virtual offices as your registered address for an llc?

If so what state are you in?

I'm considering doing this and I'm gonna contact a lawyer to make sure it's legal in the Dallas Ft Worth area.

Just wondering if anyone else has real world experience they care to share.

If you think you may know someone doing this please @ them and direct them to my thread. Thank you.

Why would you do this?

Honestly...if you don't have a physical location of business...you can list your house...

The location is just so they know who to send mail too mostly...

I used a house before as a business address and people came to the house to apply for jobs. I don't like that.

the one in Dallas is only $59/month. It's worth it to avoid randoms showing up.

I'm pretty sure it's all public record. All you need is the name of the business, city and state. Look yourself up.

I've had two pop ups for the first business i had. They thought they were showing initiative. People with a clue would've saw it was a house and kept it moving. Not these two lol.

If you haven't had this problem before thats good but it may become one. That's why i'm trying to avoid it. Twice is too many.

Yeah he can use that too.

You can get mail wherever you like but a P.O Box can't be the address on your business license in GA.

I can't speak for every state but I know GA from real world experience.

Edit, some counties operate differently. I'll be more specific. In the county I live in I can not use a P.O Box on my business license in GA.

LLCs are governed by state law so you'll want to double check as some states have very funky rules regarding this issue. It might also affect your ability to get a business license. I know here in Chicago, many businesses that are located in co-working facilities or even virtual offices have been running into this problem.

I would make sure it's a place that you can receive physical mail. A lot of people get antsy about using their home address for the reasons stated above.

Hm, not trying to get you into trouble, but instead of a USPS P.O Box, would a private mail box from FedEx or UPS work? You use the building's actual address instead of a P.O one. Just an idea, though it seems very borderline.
