anyone celebrating any of this should really take a step back and look at the entire situation. regardless if you hate WWE or not, they're the largest in the game and are having to release talent because of the pandemic. what do you think the smaller companies all over the world are dealing with right now? many of these smaller companies won't survive financially. it's not like just because someone WWE didn't use is now magically going to get that same money elsewhere with a smaller company. EVERYONE is dealing with this bullshyt right now.
I wouldn't say it's gloating and celebrating, but more so the tone def approach on how WWE handled this situation with such arrogance. The company hosted Wrestlemania while most Indy companies just close up shop. Yet, WWE managed to fukk up by not making WM a centerpiece for something revolutionary like a season off to re evaluate during this pandemic. They could easily give wrestlers a platform to do shyt for the Network and cut cost that way, but guess what, wrestlers are not as essential as saving a few dollars to push a machine that put those wrestlers in the predicament in the first place.
It sucks when Japan gets it as far as how to help out the wrestlers and provide additional testing with funding for the loses from last month, while over here wrestlers are out playing private dancers because they got sold to this carny fukking dream of being a superstar.
And this is coming from somebody who is going through the same thing as the wrestlers on the chopping block. With the exception that I'm blessed regardless of whatever happens. Yes we all in this together, but at the end of the day companies like the WWE are the key reason why eye raises are happening because "essential" is another ploy to get over.
