Because the moment you announce that Angle is returning to abruptly wrestle in the E for the 1st time with no build up, it was already off the rails and took away from that match.

They couldve easily said "fukk it" and did something with the Bullet Club vs the Shield now... hell even if they didnt do a match but in the end the show ends with them coming out to attack Kurt and the winners.

Then that way to help their next PPV which now they are trying to salvage adding and ICON to the Main Event, they couldve built a traditional SS 4 v 4 Bullet Club vs Shield & Angle match.

They would set the world on fire with that as so many peeps wouldve been hyped for that

To be honest once the Roman went down and they talked about AJ & Finn going at it, I figured that it was just literally a given that we would be given a Bullet Club reunion. I just figured they would have Styles, Gallows ,Anderson and Balor wreck the main event and call out any four men who dare challenge them and lead up to a match at Survivor Series with the Club vs. the Shield and Angle. Instead we got Vince finding a way to still put his son as the number one face on SDL.

Sure, it'd been great from the perspective of a fan who's into the Bullet Club and wants to see it in the E... but the Bullet Club ain't Vince's property, and on top of that it's actively taking place in another company. Makes no sense to do it in the meantime, especially in a one-off match for the hell of it. AJ vs Balor was a dope ass match, so did we really lose out by not adding Gallows, Anderson, and four opponents we probably wouldn't have given a shyt about?
