i dont get why people don't like Vince? like they don't even like him personally. Is it the new york bro thing? you can't deny how much he helped wrestling even if he had Vince as a "filter"

His style, for better or worse was a far departure from certain established wrestling tradition, which has a sense of sanctity to it for a lot of people. That breeds contempt.

Also a lot of people blame him for destroying WCW. Granted, WCW was under his tenure but it wasn’t all his fault.

And finally, which I guess fits into both above points was putting the belt on himself and David Arquette. Nobody wrestling fan of any stripe was fukking with that. Made the old guys especially feel a way about it and made the current guys feel like he was taking everything as a joke and burying the whole company.

I don’t have expected him to watch AEW (or NXT for that matter but neither do I) but I feel as though they’ve done much better than RAW and Smackdown at atleast saying hey life’s weird right now, let’s entertain you.

What he is saying is very true though. Roman Reigns going from being the face of the company to non existent is so incredibly jarring and weird and they never even one time tried explaining that shyt or doing something with it. Like @RammerJammer mentioned, Braun was his greatest rival. Roman can’t bow out of the match because of his condition, which is technically canon in WWE, and name Braun as his replacement? Sami says on Twitter he’s still IC champion, mention that on TV. Why can’t he record a promo at home still holding the belt? It’s just like Wrestlemania X with Shawn and Razor all over again. Stop acting like things aren’t how they are.

The last thing I want to see on wrestling is a damn COVID storyline or them mentioning the shyt constantly. ABC, NBC, FOX, CNN are non stop mentioning the elephant in the room.

My cousin's fiance died from COVID. I watch wrestling and other fictional shyt to try to forget whats going on in the world, not be reminded of it or worse yet, Vince turn it into some kind of joke

I miss the crowds but some matches are so good and so hard hitting that I dont even notice there is nobody in the seats

I do agree. You could easily have some entertaining and informative pieces from Reigns, Zayn, etc from home. That’s more logical than replaying full on matches from past and recent pay-per-views.

One other example: I’ve seen weather forecasters doing reports from homes in from of a green screen (does Zoom or any of these programs have a similar function?). They did some of that on SNL also. You’re telling me we can’t have some of these Superstars (injured, hiding from covid, etc) do them old school ‘90s green screen promos with their logos in that background?

For once he's right. WWE's been trying to pretend like this shyt isn't even happening and these crowdless shows have been wack because they're still presenting them as if they're regular shows with an audience. The whole format doesn't make sense without the audience.
