“CM Punk came back and he had 10 full television minutes to go out there and make his point as far as CM Punk being back. He had the perfect crowd to be able to go out there and really, I’m talking about have a party up in that United Center. But CM Punk came back and took his moment and chose to talk about WWE. That right there was just a total miss as far as I’m concerned... [he] struck out.

“I can only imagine... if The Rock had that same 21,000 in Miami, Florida. The Rock would have talked about every landmark in Miami, that everybody in Miami frequented since they were little bitty kids, he would have talked about the bridge that they had to come across, he would have talked about the school that we had to come up fighting in - he would have had those fans going crazy with excitement. But CM Punk chose to talk about the WWE, and that 9 minutes went back so slow when it could have been a party going on in the United Center.”

fukk outta here Booker :mjlol::russ:

Gotta love that blatant lying from Booker. Dude made two mentions of WWE that could have been easily missed by an inattentive viewer...he talked more about ROH and Darby Allin than WWE.

Gotta do better than that if you're gonna stooge, Booker.

Punk could have gone in on WWE if he wanted to, but think he's said in interviews he's moved past that by now. It's one thing if he took multiple direct shots at Vince, Triple H, and Mr. People Power, but Punk's promo was more about the fans and the future than it was airing out past grievances.

For me, it was the same promo that was given in WWE. It was about WWE. It had nothing meaningful to it as far as what I’m gonna create, who I’m gonna blow up, how I’m gonna take AEW by – coming in being a nice guy and throwing out freaking ice cream bars, who gives a damn about that?

Yeah, Chicago wanted a verbal tour of all the places they already know, instead of wrestling talk.

It had nothing meaningful to it as far as what I’m gonna create, who I’m gonna blow up, how I’m gonna take AEW by

He said SPECIFICALLY he wanted to work with and elevate the young talent, starting with Darby. Did this tap dancing mufukka even see the promo? :gucci:

Lol the stans are gonna try to kill Booker T but he’s just doing what he’s supposed to do for the company that’s keeping him a multi millionaire.

Is his “opinion” wrong and completely disingenuous? 10000%

But what y’all expect the nikka to say? “It was amazing. CM Punk tore the roof off!!! it’s over for us over here at WWE!”

Like.. get real. This shyts a non story

I don't think anyone is, but it almost sounds like he didn't watch the thing. Punk didn't mention WWE by name at all. If anything, he gave a throwaway line-- but he referenced ROH and fukking said he was there to face guys like Darby.
