Is this the storyline that Ali supposedly turned down during the pandemic? :picard:
I'm from the old school era so I don't know all of the NEW wrestlers nowadays outside of certain 1s but I can recall back in the days how they were trying to market Muhammad Hasan (spelling?)

The lawsuit made it sound like something that was pitched more recently.

The only issue with this that's not gonna hold up is that if she wanted to sue on the grounds of wrongful termination due to her objections, she'd be well within the right to do so. BUT suing over stereotypical storyline writing and fiction- I don't know how much of a case that is. Because just like anything in fictitious TV and movies, creators can make a character or story about anything they want- it doesn't mean it has anything to do with real life. She could definitely go to court and say "I'm suing because I feel I was terminated for disagreeing with some of the ideas being presented" and possibly win with a good case... but the part about the actual scripts is probably gettin' thrown out. Because if that was grounds for a lawsuit, then anyone could sue a TV writer or screenwriter for anything they take offense to- racist characters, sexist characters, homophobic characters, pedos, etc...

This sounds more like a court of public opinion thing to me.

I'm not a lawyer tho. Hope Vince and his get some consequences.

Apollo shoulda never dropped it. He was bodying that shyt

The idea of Apollo returning to his roots and bringing that out in a way for everyone to see it is delicate and needed to be handled by Black writers. It was very half ass to me
