This is going to be a disaster.
"People don't want social and political issues coming into play when they are trying to be entertained," McMahon said. "We want someone who wants to take a knee to do their version of that on their personal time."
Between the companies history as it pertains to the treatment of miniorties (AAs in particular) him vehemently supporting Trump, and this most recent comment, I have no idea how anyone black is putting money in this guys pocket. Hell, SOB conveniently brought back the curb stomp on MLK day, but I suppose that was coincidence. After all, Vince idolized Martin, which clearly explains why he's vehemently against political protest. Humans are creatures of habit so it's hard to let something go that you're accustomed to doing since you were in the sandbox, but some things are bigger than entertainment and this is one of them.
Dude is willing to go bankrupt if it means he goes down swinging symbolically with the intent to oppose blacks protesting the fact they're still considered 3/5ths human. He's clearly extending his olive branch to the alt-right & Richard Spencer's of the world. Sure, it's a cash in play buy you have to know he feels the same ultimately. Vince has pretty explicitly drawn his line in the sand (white supremacy is fairly lucrative, especially in the current climate.) That said, I can't wrap my head around anyone of color spending a single cent on anything he owns. Not only are you not good enough to carry his top title, but you also better know your place and yes, your civil liberties -- or lack thereof -- is irrelevant. I can't see how anyone black in present day America can rationalize consuming his product. They're literally mobilizing against you, and nothing about what's coming is covert. It's one thing to be in the dark about the lengths he's willing to go to keep the status quo. It's another entirely for him to explicitly show you where he'll be standing.
