In 2009, Wright joined the exclusive fraternity of coaches who have guided their programs to the Final Four, taking the Wildcats to the sport's grandest stage in Detroit.

Wright's worksheet includes a substantial list of achievement at Villanova since he assumed command on March 27, 2001.

Villanova is 12-7 (.632) in NCAA Tournament play under Wright. It has advanced to four Sweet 16's, two Elite Eights and the `09 Final Four. Its pulsating 78-76 triumph over Pittsburgh in March of 2009 ranks as one of the most breathtaking victories in program history.

From 2005-11, VU made seven consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament, winning 20 or more games in each of those campaigns. It marked only the second time in school history that the Wildcats had reached the NCAA Tournament in seven straight seasons.
