he wouldn't last long anyway. that shoulder was mangled. he'd probably last 1 half "healthy" then play like shyt for a few games, get killed by the fans and media, then shut it down

it's kinda lose lose for him at this point. very small chance he comes back and balls out. and if he comes back for the playoffs and doesn't produce, you know what the narrative is gonna be

playoffs isnt for a month from now.
they're gonna push him back as long as possible to avoid a potential setback
is he gonna play at his normal level? probably not, but he's gonna come back cause he's a nutjob with an insane pain threshold.
