Don’t tell me you’re gonna be a pessimist with how this squad is looking.
I just wanted to see the team I spent the whole summer excited about ONE TIME… :mjcry:

But honestly, I’m optimistic. I think we’ll still be really good. Just being objective, we may have swapped our biggest strength (our toughness) for our biggest weakness (spacing and scoring at the 5). My only worry is that, while KAT is really good at spacing and scoring, he’s not the BEST at it. We’re leaning into an identity we MAY not be the best at. When previously, I genuinely believed we could out physical any team we faced fully healthy. We were tough enough to beat teams that were more talented than us. Whether that would have led to a title is unknown but I would have been willing to find out. (Again, I completely understand the circumstances and timing of the trade and generally agree with them. This is just the fan in me complaining)

This is great news… we have the perfect team for this style of… oh wait… :sadcam:

Wait I don’t understand, the issue?

Doesn’t this mean that teams are going to have to open the court up to score compared to foul hunting in tight space. Because when we were the Brunson/Randle/RJ/Quickley offense, the team was designed to foul hunt. Now the team is a 5 out we can out shoot you team so we don’t have to rely on fouls under the basket to score.

That’s a way to look at it. I’m thinking more about less fouls meaning players will have to play through contact. So bully ball becomes more effective on both ends of the floor.

Bringing back Ewing hopefully gets rid of the curses this franchise has had.
