I wouldn’t say never. It was more that the Knicks couldn’t afford to keep waiting because of the 2nd apron shyt. This was do or die, now or never, which explains all the picks for Mikal. I read a few other articles on him and it sounds like his current team doesn’t “value” physical fitness as much as skill on the level of American teams. Which is why people keep saying he is young and coachable. Basically he could probably be a better defender and rim attacker if he got in better shape also he is a kid. The Knicks might legit bring him over so they can coach him up.
