If I were in that situation:

1. Sister in-law is cut off completely: that means no house visits, no coming over for the holidays, no babysitting or helping you out as a single mother, no public appearances with myself or my wife, no holidays, no vacations. She would cease to exist. Now, if my wife wants to accept her phone call every once in a while....fine. But she wouldn't be allowed to step on any of my properties....business or residential. And if she does, then she can expect to be hearing from my lawyer who would have no problem taking what little she has through the attrition of court cases.

2. My wife is getting checked and put on timeout: that means I'm letting her know that her standing by with her hands folded is some weak sh#t and that she needs to think twice about where her loyalty lies. Oh, and if her family is more important than her husband, then she can live with them and pay rent at mommy's house because she's not going to eating, sh#tting and sleeping in my sh#t if her mind aint right.

3. I'm keepin an eye out for any misstep: in that situation, my wife just showed severe weakness. As a man, I would be very wary of sleeping in the same bed as a woman who allowed a 3rd party to publicly disrespect me like that. Especially knowing the stature I have and the importance of maintaining a certain image. Yea, my sister in-law is to blame, but my wife has a contract with me....and she under-delivered.
