Next gen is not going to be that big of a bump graphically.

nothing on current consoles even look close to 1080p on ultra settings. both BF3 and Farcry 3 look on old engines yet consoles not going to get a big bump? unreal engine 4 has been done for awhile and majority of games are still running on the sub 3 from like 2004


Microsoft has all but confirmed to be using Dx11 possibily 11.1

You haven't played on a high end pc. You guys don't know what true 1080p with everything maxed out and DX11 looks like. The PS4/720 will be capable of that

How old is the hardware in the xbox/ps3? I guess console owners would notice the difference.

ive played on a high end pc, and hes right.

you're primarly playing on upscale engines with ok art designs, PC developers are waiting on the next generation as well.

i played Shogun 2, the new COD, Civilization and Diablo 3

its straight but its not all worth the money involved with building a pc

im glad i know never to listen to pc heads about how such and such games are better cause of graphics its marginal at best

unless you have a monitor that is >>> 30" its just not that nice

COD is using an old engine that is not tweaked because they need to keep it locked at 60fps on consoles, Civilization is old as well, Diablo 3 and Shogun 2 are strategy games which have to scale down to run all that shyt on the screen to be able to be played with people that have graphic cards.

I don't even know what graphic card you have.

What you NEED to play to see the difference is:
Battlefield 3
Metro 2033
Far Cry 3
Max Payne 3
NBA 2K12 or NBA 2K13

Its not even close, not at all.

NEW games with NEW engines built from scratch or significantly modified and developers taking full advantage of DX11 shyt all over these consoles its nuts.

the thing is all that fancy resolution and all, it dont mean nothing on a small ass screen

and furthermore playing with a keyboard and mouse just aint that nice in 2012

i love my strategy games but thats about it right now

i have a 560 TI so there isnt anything out right now that i cant play on high at the minimum

this is what pc folks do, if folks dont believe them. "well its cause you didnt spend 600 dollars for a better card"

a $75 video card kills what the PS3 or XBOX 360 is capable of doing.

So you have a 560 TI and cant tell the difference? Sounds like you either need a new monitor or connect your pc to your tv.

I am not going to get into preferences, but the fact is that the games don't even look close in terms of how nice they look. You saying that you need a big screen to see the difference is a bit unfair as I doubt you are playing your PS3 on a 20 inch screen.

i have a 27" asus 1080P plugged in using HDMI

but i was sold on buying a PC for D3 and im happy about it, but in my attempts to find games on pc better than consoles its been held to mainly strategy games(RPG's would be here if there some worth playing that werent mmo)

and ur right, im sure if i plugged my PC into my 47" vizio i would definitely see the difference but its not practical

it is what it is, but this will be the last PC i ever build

This is the worst for that game, no one is going to give two shyts about it but us. I have it paid off but it isn't going to look like shyt compared to the next gen games that will shown the next month at E3. Also, Xbox 360 will outsell the PS3 every month in the US till the rest of time.
