Melo last night was reminding me of those musty ass Ville niqqas when they get heated on the court. Start trying to over foul you "within" the confines of the game when they're getting their asses beat. That niqqa saw a playground fence rather than an MSG crowd last night.
I actually was laughing and clapping watching the 3rd and 4th quarter last night. Melo and Chandler were literally straight up irritated and started pushing, shoving and hacking both KG and Sullinger out of straight up frustration.
It was hilarious.
Chandler was throwing all sorts of before, during and after shots in on Sullinger and the rookie just kept laughing at him after the whistle, which clearly made that dude angrier!
That game was the single most entertaining game of the season so far. Crowd was awesome, competition level, chippyness, everything.

Your one of the few people here old enough to call that a true throw back game, but thats EXACTLY what it was. Felt like 1988 Knicks and Celtics.
That crowd was hype, the refs would left them get away with a bunch of random shyt, big shot from Pierce with just enough bravado added in for daggers...almost a fight, dudes looking for people in tunnels and sheit.

ESPN is reporting the issue that triggered the near-brawl is the same issue that has divided The Coli.
Anthony had struggled from the field for most of the game, but he brought the Knicks to within 82-78 on a 3-pointer. Shortly after that, Anthony tangled with Garnett, the Knicks forward appearing to give him a shove under the basket, and the players began jawing with each other before getting called for the double technical. Garnett had played Anthony physically and Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire also said Garnett was trash-talking to get into Anthony's head, as he has the veteran Celtic has been known to do. As they were separated, Garnett made a motion with his fingers to indicate Anthony was talking a lot. "It happened with me a few times with Garnett," Stoudemire said of when he was younger. "He takes you out of your game." When asked whether he could elaborate on the specifics of Garnett's gutter-chatter, Stoudemire broke out in a bemused smile, his big, magnificent, white teeth providing a startling contrast to his Cocoa Pebble complexion. I'm a Knick fan, Melo fan, don't like KG, and I agree with this. When he stalked off in the opposite direction of the Knicks locker, I knew and everybody knew where he was going. If any teammates really thought something was gonna pop off, they'da went too or stopped him. I hope.
