:pachaha: at the super aggressive typing. But I'm hurt.

Honestly, fake-woke nikkas like you don't deviate from the script. It could've been about anyone that takes trivial shyt like this song and turns it into a fiendish plot by powers-that-be, meanwhile probably don't even know about wtf is goin' on in their own backyard. You might think you're unique, but I disagree, breh. I see you wanna be important this morning tho', so... ok, @Gravity!
and :russ: at your super lame bytchmade attempts to troll.

I haven’t made one comment about this song. My comment was about cardi b and how she’s being propped up as someone to look up to for young black girls. I then saw your passive aggressive post aimed at nobody in particular where you’re taking subliminal shots at people who are in here calling out the music industry and their agendas by basically telling them to get over it
I get the argument about how the music industry is doin' this and that, but we might as well get over that shyt.
My response to that c00n ass position was
So basically we should just accept amerikkka’s anti-black agenda and stop complaining about it because whites have always pushed it?

I suspect that embarassed you and hurt your feelings because that’s when you deflected and started trolling. You went from acknowledging that the point to pretending as if people don’t have a point. You’re a fukking lame and a suspecreddoon in here :cape: for the music industry because you like a song. Get some integrity you old bytch.

not hating. just telling it how it is.

I personally think the video is well done. The dancing is great and so is the song. but Bruno gotta find a new lane eventually. :manny:

He's milking black pop culture for all it worth decade by decade. :banderas:

Meanwhile, stuff like this goes unnoticed.

Same type of old school tribute, throwback video to Paid in full plus great song from a great album by a better soul/funk/R&B artist (in my opinion :hubie:) but no hype surrounding it.

Didn't Bruno Mars bring Anderson Paak out on his 24K tour?

Anderson Paak is criminally underrated, should be a bigger star IMO.

I'm not seeing this with Bruno though. Dudes goes out of his way to put on black musicians and writers.

Anecdotal, but Childish Gambino also just released his most successful album to date with a throwback sound to Parliament/Funkadelic. Kendrick did similar with TPAB. If there were a black POP act akin to Bruno that did the same thing I don't think there would be much problem at all.

those aren't really good examples especially the Kendrick one

Some of y'all just be makin' shyt up... :russ:

"Poison" has been white peoples' favorite black song for like 28 years nshyt... Bobby Brown sold like 7 million records... they loved TLC and all that shyt... then Mike started makin' New Jack shyt and they rocked with that too...

The cacs who were bashin' it in the 90s ain't the same people listenin' to Bruno Mars, lol... them MFs like 60-somethin' years old now. The people rockin' with Mars were kids dancin' to BBD in 1990.

facts! but that was in real time when the sound was current

but as I said many times on here black people can't and don't blow doing retro sounds of their OWN musical past. The examples are endless. A white person would blow easier doing retro soul, funk, jazz etc..than a black person doing those same sounds from their own culture because it's considered passe until a white/non-black does it which provides a shock factor due to the unexpectedness.

That Apollo show is the best live performance that i've ever seen no zaggeration. I think James and Mike would be honored and proud.

See, it's stuff like all this mumbo-jumbo why I called you a fake woke nikka... your lack of reading comprehension is why you're in this thread tight as a MF and gettin' offended about everything. My point was that the music industry is a bunch of money-hungry MFs that always have and always will exploit whatever they think is gonna make them money... we can sit here and dislike a song, dislike an artist, dislike an agenda, whatever it is, but ain't shyt gonna change. They'll use whomever they can and spit them out when they're done, and we ain't gonna do shyt but post about it. Your whole 'so what, we just supposed to accept it?!'... to that, I ask you realistically, what are we really gonna do instead? We goin' to the labels to tell 'em to stop? No. We boycottin'? No. We still keep listenin' to music anyway? Yep. I'm over that shyt cause I know that's wtf they do. It's unfortunate, but that shyt is a cesspool full of people who (like I said) would push a cartoon fish if that shyt could make them a few millions. You talkin' like you, we, or anybody's gonna make record labels stop doin' record label shyt, but just like your comment about me gettin' smacked in the mouth, ain't shyt really gonna happen. At this point, I accept that cause it's the reality- if you haven't come around to that, that's your life. But stop bein' a gotdamn fruity boy with your soft feelings and keep it rockin', breh.
