Why are people so aggy about fashion being involved in hip-hop?

Last time I checked, from Polo & Hilfiger to Wu Wear & Fubu to Roc-A-Wear & other label brands to now boutique brands ... fashion has always played a huge part in hip-hop.

I'd rather hip-hop owns the brands and dictates the direction because at this point, high fashion brands are absolutely stealing most forward looking ideas from streetwear brands.

No one is saying fashion shouldn't be in hip hop. Its just corny to let a nikka dictate what and who is cool. Its pathetic. And If the nikka wanted to dictate the direction of fashion he should start his own brand instead of letting cacs use his ass for free promo and then getting butthurt when they don't pay him
