I get it... it's just splittin' up but legally still bein' together. It's not like y'all had an agreement that y'all were gonna fukk other people and then get back together. And then at the same time, if a couple gets back together, it ain't like they can be mad at each other for datin' other people when they thought the shyt was over.

It could mean that you just haven't officially gotten the divorce. You can't just break up with your spouse and then go get divorced the same day, or even the same year in some cases. There's annulments and shyt like that, but if it's like Victoria said, that mighta been a split that just wasn't made official at the time.
