Ja wasn't hyped anywhere near as much as Wemby or Zion. Got his spotlight off actual NBA work.

Luka had a TON of hype from the guys who really follow Euro ball. But the rest of us saw a guy without next-level athleticism or shooting and didn't believe in him. We were wrong. I never thought he'd be a bust, but I didn't think he's be anywhere near as good as he is.

Wemby gets the casual co-sign on his hype because he's an athletic 7'4" with handles and shooting. No one cares what his stats are when you can see that.

To speak to Victor though I’ll have to see him play against real pros.

I will say that frail looking lower body concerns me a bit. Big men like that tend to have problems with their knees and feet. He needs to add little weight to that frame but not too much to were it affects his athleticism either.

A guy at his height moving like he does goes against everything I’ve ever seen with agility and physics.

Im not sure what he’ll be, but he got drafted to the right organization with the right mentors where they’ll take their time with him and likely maximize his skill set if he comes in with the right attitude and a commitment to getting as good as he can.

I’m pulling for him, I hope he does well.

Did it work for Lebron? I get what you mean. But if he retire tomorrow with 4 rings, was his career that of "THE CHOSEN ONE" Seems to me the chosen one should have accomplished more than Kobe at the least.
