Nah, I've been following this case for a minute and that extortion claim was made up by Jelahni's defense team. They also claimed that the girl (who was 11 at the time) was sleeping with several men and boys. to discredit her claim of rape. Their "defense" fell apart when the semen taken from the little girl matched Jelahni's DNA and the little girl's brother testified that he had walked in on Jelahni raping his sister and then he beat the hell out of the boy and threatened him if he ever told.
