I don't believe one has to look like they spent 6 days in the gym to look believable these days either. that's true that it comes down to how you are booked, but look at how Owens is booked.. he is supposed to be this badass wrestling machine, that wasn't how Rikishi or Mankind were booked...so to a lot of people it's gonna look kind of ridiculous with his big ass beer gut to think he's gonna fukk up someone like Cena or Rusev or Lesnar or Reigns.

Owens is going to be a fan favorite for neckbeards everywhere. He is a more in shape version of them that kicks ass and cuts decent promos while doing it. In some ways he has the perfect look

IMO, Owens look like the typical loud mouth b*stard you see in the bar getting into fights every weekend and winning. His build is almost like Jim Niedhart's. But only time will tell how main roster booking will make or break his career.

Well, Rusev is not exactly sporting a six pack and Roman have to put in overtime at the gym from becoming Rosey 2.0.

He's has a throwback look as far as i'm concerned. A bar room brawler type. Mick Foley may not have been booked as an Austin type bad ass but he was a bad ass in the sense that he could take insane amounts of punishment while also dishing it out. I think Owens would look believable against a Reigns or a Cena. It's not like they are that physically imposing compared to Owens. When it comes to Brock if we're talking about anyone believable when it comes to fukking him up then 95% of the roster would be eliminated

can't lie, the 1st thing I noticed when he was in the ring with Cena was his gut

Lets keep it one hundred here. If it wasnt for Vince's obsession with body building and "meat heads" we probably wouldnt even be having this conversation. When vince was out there hiring all these monsters of the week and people that "looked" the part it was one of the worst periods for wrestling because those meat heads cant fukking wrestle. If dude can lose a bit of that excess weight like was heading to a while back he would be fine. If he loses too much weight he's just gonna come off as too scrawny considering he ain't the biggest guy either.

I was indifferent on Owens until Monday. That interaction with Cena proved to me that he can hold his own with anyone on the roster. Sure he doesn't look like your typical WWE guy, but there's nothing wrong with that. If anything it separates him from the rest of the pack.

I've always said that as an athlete on a national stage, one should take pride in their appearance ala Orton, Rollins, & Barrett.
Bo Dallas looks like a damn slob.
However, Owens makes his look work.
He's not really abnormally imposing physically, and if he loses too much weight, he doesn't stand out at all.
Nah, his look coincides with the drunken brawler/bully thing he has going for him.
It fits the character and makes him believeable in that role.
