I don't think that this is necessarily an "either or" issue.
You can say "fukk r. r kelly" AND note some of the hypocrisy exhibited by celebs/public figures.
People will read threads/thread titles the way they want to. I put this up to show that major media was airing this man out, with receipts in the mid 90s. They included a copy of a marriage document in the article, and have quotes from people close to the story. This wasn't a gossip piece or anything like that.
This was BEFORE the video tape scandal.
People over a certain age who fukked with kels and his music AFTER this 1995 article can't get brand new and act outraged over any documentary they watched in 2018.
I haven't watched the doc.(and will not)....I never watched the videotape...my mind was made up about this dude and how he got down years ago. I've listened to his music...especially the songs with rap cameos, and if the song comes on the radio or in a film, I'm not gonna stand up and change the station...but this guy has BEEN an open pedo since BEFORE the OJ verdict.

Black people were talking about police brutality back in '95 too. There were even riots, but there's wasn't the amount of protest and support for change. Does that mean the people talking about it in '95 didn't have a point? It just means we're in a different era. It's a real dangerous slippery slope to say because people didn't listen or act 10-20 years ago, new attention=fake outrage. It just means it's a different era and different people are listening now.
