R&B was so much better in the 80's and 90's.

I would say this is the case well up until the mid 2000s probably. And I think that’s because all of those arrows for one actually had vocals, and also had a real influences. A lot of current mainstream singers aren’t even trying to sing, they’re trying to rap. And in turn, the rappers are attempting to sing, but can’t because they are masking their terrible vocals with autotune

I don’t really like the missy busta matchup, people keep mentioning them based on their animated personalities/video style but missy has too much r&b in her bag, I don’t wanna hear r&b go up against hip hop like that.
