Someone made the comment about how people in vz who got a pen game have a huge advantage. But I’m seeing that in how their career has an advantage. Sweat was able to stick around cuz he could write and adapt to new sounds. When you’re an artist who relies on writers, one, you gotta maintain good relationships, and two, you can fall victim to having too much loyalty or rapport with a person who can evolve when the times change.
