He co-wrote & co-produced this classic.

:ohhh: now I sit back and listen to it, I'll be! That is that whining muthafukka, that's all him. I really didn't pay attention back then because I hated this song, too much crying and shyt:mjlol:

And now I know why it's Keith crying ass that wrote this song:russ:

But Yo it was a banger in the hood but it wasn't my cup of tea

Bobby and Keith are like charles barkley and karl malone

Barkley (Bobby) had a higher peak and was more talented. Barkley eventually got fat and lazy (bobby did coke) and it ended their runs prematurely. Malone (Keith) was more consistent and had longevity in the game

people do this every time there's a matchup between someone who had higher chart peaks and people who have deeper and/or better discographies. but that's cool, that's why these need to happen, a lil musical education

The crazy thing about Bobby's peak is it was only over a two album span(Don't Be Cruel & Bobby).

The rest of his albums didn't even go gold.

Keith on the other hand dropped 6 consecutive platinum albums(Make It Last Forever, I'll Give All My Love To You, Keep It Comin', Get Up On It, Keith Sweat & Still In The Game).

Yo let me break it down and I'm going to be honest! This is from my recollection! Don't Be Cruel and Make It Last Forever are great fukkin album's, Classic Album's, Great Black Album's and it was played everywhere, But Keith Make It Last Forever got a lil more play in Black Household and events

:hubie:Now here me out! Yes Don't Be Cruel was everywhere, you couldn't hide from it and It was a Monster Ass Album that did Crazy Ass Numbers. Lightning struck in the bottle for Bobby Brown, He still had that Teeny Bop Pop shine of New Edition on him and was still beloved by NE fans so he had that Teeny Bop Crowd, Bobby had charisma, his bad boy antic's with NE was legendary, and he dropped Don't Be Cruel album with The Monster single It's My Prerogative, him making headlines for lewd acts on stage and him getting in trouble with the law, The NE Heartbreak tour with NE, Al. B Sure. The nikka basically became Pop! And not mention all the other singles that went number 1, Bobby Brown was everywhere from The Suburbs to The Urban Hood, Bobby had Crossed Over to The Pop Chart's, Pop Music and Pop Culture, oh yeah and bagged Janet Jackson. The album was played in the hood and in the black Household

But Make It Last Forever got a little more play at Black Events In the Household because Children, Teens, Adults and Old Heads knew and played that album crazy it touched all generations and it was grown folks music with the appeal to the Youth with the New Jack Swang, it had dance songs that banged that all generations can danced too, it was sophisticated not to raunchy for the Elders that they can get down too and it got freak em slow Jams that resonated with the pre teens, teens, grown folks and old heads. So In the hood it got a little bit more play because it reached all demographics

Since he emerged with his first hit in 1987, Keith Sweat has been a leading R&B and pop artist, songwriter and producer. Starting with his breakout hit “I Want Her,” Sweat has had many hit songs as an artist, and he’s had six platinum albums and one gold album. He’s also known for discovering and signing the popular R&B group, Silk, and he co-wrote their biggest hit, “Freak Me.”

Sweat’s six platinum albums are: Make It Last Forever (released in 1987); I’ll Give All My Love to You (1990); Keep It Comin’ (1991); Get Up on It (1994); Keith Sweat (1996); and Still in the Game (1998). His gold album is Didn’t See Me Coming (2000).

On top of this, Sweat discovered and signed the hit female group, Kut Klose, and he formed the R&B supergroup LSG with Gerald Levert and Johnny Gill. In addition, he has hosted his popular, syndicated ratio show (called The Sweat Hotel) for the past decade.
