I'll just pay cash for a new one. :win:
This is what Euros have been doing for years now. I think it's really going to be the way to go from here on out, IMO and how it SHOULD be.

You bring your own equipment, that equipment is compatible with multiple carriers and you go month to month. This helps breed competition because the carriers have to actually fight for your business and fight to KEEP your business, knowing they don't have you locked in and that if they fukk up, you can bounce and not have to worry about paying any early termination fees.

Just take your biz elsewhere at any moment's notice. As it stands now, you're stuck unless you wanna pay up and you can't even use your phone w/ another carrier. This is why they make such fukked up, anti-consumer decisions. Where you gonna go? And if you do decide to go, pay us first. Oh and then pay someone else for your new phone.

Go look at cell phone rate plans in Europe compared to here. Go look at internet speeds and rates in Europe compared to here. It's because there's more competition and choice. US is the greatest nation on earth but its really fukked up in many ways too. Telecom companies and television providers being one of them.

Only a matter of time before the other carriers follow suit....fukking collusion

I'm sure they're doing this in anticipation of the new iPhone....either they'll do this just before it drops out soon after (to entice as many people as possible to buy)

funny thing is collision when it happens in a explicit manner is supposed to be an anti-trust(competition) violation, but when you're as big as AT&T and Verizon and lobby "bribe" 9/10 the government looks the other way. Telecom is an oligarchy (really damn near a duopoly) and with the market power these firms share, expect every cent to be squeezed out of the consumer and quality to diminish. Japan, Korea, and countries in Eupore can have blazing speeds but here its an issue :birdman:

Collusion is pretty much ignored in this capitalistic nation....just look at those checked bag fees airlines started charging all of a sudden.

Yet people dare clown on ME when I say people should just buy an unlocked high end t-mobile phone and go with simple mobile?

Yeah its not real 4G, but unlimited 4G and everything else for $60.

When will you fools realize that these companies don't care about your contracts?

Sprint is the only one to sign long term with, but those days might be numbered :to:
