Also, if the prosecution is equating the whistle blowing with aiding the enemy - shouldn't the penalty be death ? From what I understand he should be murked off if that's what they determine.


I would respect Obama more if he pardoned Manning last day in office.... that would be a good way to show that he really didn't have control while in office and he was just playing a role.

He made an adult decision, a very serious one, I think he's going to have to pay the consequences.

It would be hypocritical to take his life.

Also, if the military didn't put 'crazy' people around secret and classified info then the military wouldn't have to deal with this. If he was crazy or had issues, then it was leadership negligence - also in that cause it would be manslaughter to murk him.

Sounds like the military needs to get its shyt together. More people should be held responsible as well, it looks like it goes pretty high up.
