Honestly tell me how the US will bankroll Ukraine, Israel, and Guyana...AND bailout failing corporations
Then tell me how they can't bankroll reparations, student loan forgiveness, and universal healthcare
Venezuela.
Venezuela was a very rich country not that long ago, and they have a military apparatus that keeps Maduro in power.
Guyana has been poor and underdeveloped since colonization. It doesn't have any military to speak of. I'm sure they have an army, but not like a military industrial complex like the states.
I'd have to check more sources, but this would essentially be some Venelozanos with assault rifles marching into the jungle and trying to hold it from some native Guyanese with assault rifles. I'd be surprised if either has working attack helicopters or fighter jets.
But Maduro makes a move, best believe Uncle Sam will finally take the bait and dispose of him.
The US prints the world's currency. The currency is backed by the full faith and credit of the US government, which itself is backed by American Military and American Industry.
There's a reason why global trade is settled in dollars.

Yea thats the only thing that troubles me. Saudi Arabia, UAE and Iran are hosting Putin as we speak, so we cant exactly count on the Middle East for the oil hook ups and expect them to shun other customers/partners i.e. the Russians like we used to. Bin Salman of Saudi fukking hates Biden and hes actuvely tryna fukk us over too. Maduro's oil in Venezuela seemed like a surefire bet to help keep the prices down.
But now they took that as a sign that they can do whatever the fukk they want in Guyana and to be perfectly clear... they might just get away with the shyt unless the US can form a coalition with Brazil and Colombia to contain them. Which wont happen cause both countries are being run by socialist governments rn.
So either the US lays down the law and risk being caught off guard on all fronts on the oil tip or risk looking like a weak hypocrite in Latin America so we could save up our strength to fight in Europe/Asia in the future. America doesnt care about the Western hemisphere on security-related issues so Im betting the latter

There are a lot of folks that believe in Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) and make that argument - the US can afford it all.
Conventional economists reject MMT - but those same people have seen the US invent money out of thin air since then and make all sorts of economic commitments and kick the can down the road.
But the rest of the world? Who's debt are the buying? The EU? China? LOL
America is the best bet for investment dollars, for loan dollars, because America made itself that way.
It's very expensive in man power and material to run and empire - but everyone is still playing, because the US is still the best game in town.
